10.26.2009 - First Snow
Wellington got its first snow - a few inches. Winter is coming early this year.
10.25.2009 - Almost Winter
It's only been a few weeks since last visiting Wellington, but boy has it changed. There was a dusting of snow on Mount Index and at the ski area at Steven's Pass. The leaves are nearly gone, and the vegetation is quite different now. One gets the sense that winter is not far away at all. It is in the lower to mid 30s, and the bridges and overlook ice over as soon as the sun goes down. It is still beautiful, but in a different way than it was just a few weeks ago.
10.14.2009 - Post Production Underway
Now the magic begins. We've gotten some terrific footage, and are in the process of putting it together to tell a story. We're underway with post production. We anticipate a few more trips to Wellington if the weather allows.
10.13.2009 - Snow Anticipated
We're barely into autumn, and already snow is anticipated shortly for Wellington. It seems it will be an early snow year this year - and Bert and Jayme report that it is extremely cold up there. I'll be up in a few weeks for a look and report back.

Jayme had a run-in with the spirit commonly referred to as "No Face". Here's a link to Bert's YouTube video about it.
9.12.2009 - Primary Filming -- Finished!
We have finished filming up at Wellington. We had an interesting -- and long -- day of filming yesterday . . . noon to about 2 a.m. But, we got some interesting footage. Now the work begins.

8.26.2009 - A Great Day of Filming
We had a terrific day of filming up at Wellington with Jayme and Bert today. The sun was shining and the trail was peaceful with very few hikers. We probably have about two more days of filming left at Wellington, with some additional shooting in the region, but we are making great progress!
8.24.2009 - Filming Underway
We just completed our first -- and longest -- day of shooting. We were up at Wellington from 11 a.m. to about midnight, when a cougar showed up and shut us down for the evening. Any return trips will be for small amounts of additional footage we need as we move into post production. It was a great day!
8.15.2009 - Filming Dates Scheduled!
We're ready to film. Dates are scheduled for shoots up at Wellington. Here's hoping they are on active nights.
8.10.2009 - Film release scheduled for March 1, 2010
We have scheduled an anticipated release date for Avalanche of Spirits: The Ghosts of Wellington. March 1, 2010, is the 100-year anniversary of the Wellington disaster. We've scheduled our release to honor those who lost their lives on that date.
