Karen Frazier is a freelance writer, blogger, musician, mother, wife, radio host, and jewelry designer. Along with working full-time as a writer, she has volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate Guardian Ad Litem for abused and neglected children in the foster care system, as well as for the Crisis Clinic and the Lewis County Historical Museum.

Karen has served as a paranormal journalist and managing editor for the magazine Paranormal Underground. She also produced and moderated the Paranormal Underground Presents... podcast, and is the co-host of Paranormal Underground Radio on HeyZRadio.com, which features interviews with leaders and innovators in the paranormal field.  Karen also researches the paranormal with South Sound Paranormal Research. Along with writing Avalanche of Spirits, Karen also wrote Dancing with the Afterlife: A paranormal memoir and co-wrote Lessons of Many Lives with hypnotherapist Melissa Watts.

In spite of early experiences, Karen wasn’t sure whether or not she believed in ghosts until she visited the site of the Wellington avalanche disaster for the first time on July 11, 2009. Now she’s a believer. She frequently speaks about her experiences at Wellington and the history of the town, both at conferences and in the media. She has appeared on multiple radio programs such as Darkness Radio with Dave Schrader, spoken at conferences, and appeared as an expert on Travel Channel's Mystery at the Museum.
